With GoDaddy, there are two rough spots that aren't easy to overcome without help. They are:

• Incorrect PHP version
• Non-localhost MySQL host name

Incorrect PHP version

Your GoDaddy Linux hosting account isn't using PHP 5, even though they say PHP 5 is supported. To resolve this, you have to "install" PHP 5. I can't give you instructions here, because I don't have a GoDaddy account, but the information is available within GoDaddy.

Non-localhost MySQL host name
