Problems with GoDaddyWith GoDaddy, there are two rough spots that aren't easy to overcome without help. They are:
Incorrect PHP version Your GoDaddy Linux hosting account isn't using PHP 5, even though they say PHP 5 is supported. To resolve this, you have to "install" PHP 5. I can't give you instructions here, because I don't have a GoDaddy account, but the information is available within GoDaddy. Non-localhost MySQL host name This is a common rough spot for many hosting providers. Open this Getting Started guide, and find the section titled, "Finding Your Database Host Name", near the end of the document. |
